Meet Fayola! The Woman Behind Cole Chronicles

If you know me then you know that I am all about highlighting dope women who are doing dope things!

With that being said, I want you all to meet 29 year old Fayola who is the beauty and brains behind the blog, Cole Chronicles. She is currently based in Bronx, New York.

I asked Fayola some questions about blogging and this is what she had to say!

Why did you start blogging?

I started my blog as an outlet for myself to freely express my thoughts and emotions. It initially started as a lifestyle blog and along my journey I accepted Christ and so a lot of content in based on my faith, along with my journey through motherhood and life as a whole.

What has been the most difficult thing about blogging? What has been the most rewarding thing about blogging?

The hardest part about blogging is self doubt because sometimes you put out content that you are unsure if it will be receptive to you audience but then that actually turns into the most rewarding part! It is a joy to see that when I share my experiences, thoughts , or emotions many people reach out and say thank you because I have helped them in some way.

Has blogging strengthened your relationship with God? If so, how?

Blogging has not necessarily strengthened my relationship with Christ however; because of my relationship with Christ I have become more bold in the content I put out. I know that there will be many that turn away from my page but if one person comes to Christ because of it then my job is done; therefore I don’t have the time to be focused on the nay sayers, I just make sure that I put out the word God has asked me to!

You are an awesome mother to your beautiful daughter, how do you balance life as a mother, blogger, and employer?

Being a mother is a joy, and it is my first ministry as I have been taught. My daughter comes first in all that I do that includes work, blogging, and my personal life. There are times I do get overwhelmed especially being a single parent but, I always remember God has given me the grace to do what I’m doing and if the assignment is from Him, He has already given me the strength to get through it no matter how week or unqualified I may feel.

What has been the biggest life lesson you have learned since blogging/saying yes to your purpose?

The biggest lesson I have learned since I started blogging is to not worry about what others say. There is someone out there who needs to hear what your saying... your story will bring someone’s breakthrough!

What would your advice be to any woman who is struggling to discover her purpose?

My advice to other woman struggling to find their purpose would be to truly seek God and ask Him what He wants them to do, where He wants them to go, and how He wants them to move. He will order your steps IF you allow Him!
